We often use survey questions with Likert scale responses, such as: Strongly Disagree / Disagree / Neutral / Agree / Strongly Agree…but how do you best describe the ‘average’ response of a group of people, or compare it over time, or with another group? Everything you wanted to know about Likert, but were afraid to ask.
Likert scale questions are commonly used in surveys and in program evaluations, yet there are differing opinions on how to describe and compare results. Join us as we learn more from doctoral candidate Jimmy Hu about statistical approaches to analyze Likert scale data.
