Esther Feijen-de Jong RM PhD is an Assistant Professor of Midwifery at the University Medical Centre Groningen, the Netherlands. In addition to being a lecturer in the bachelor’s and master’s programs in midwifery, she is a researcher and focuses on improving the organisation of midwifery care in the Netherlands, while specialising in research on improving care for vulnerable women and research on improving the sustainability of the midwifery workforce in the Netherlands.

Liesbeth Kool is a final year PhD student and lecturer at the bachelor’s and master’s programme in midwifery. In her research, she focuses on the wellbeing of (newly qualified) midwives (NQMs) and its’ determinants and how NQMs can be supported in practice.
